I already have car insurance through my Credit Car Company, do I need to purchase it again in Northern Cyprus?
Yes, it is necessary that you purchase car hire insurance with North Cyprus car hire portal. Car Insurance in North Cyprus is quite unique, it is tied to a particular vehicle being rented out rather than the person that is renting out the vehicle.
I am eighteen years of age, can I hire a car in Northern Cyprus?
No! Minimum age for car hire in North Cyprus is 25 years or more. You can not rent out a vehicle if you are younger than 25 years of age. Main reason being, that the insurance companies will refuse to provide any cover, hence the car rental companies are hesitant in renting out vehicles to people younger than 25 years of age.
Can I have an additional driver, and do I have to pay any extra?
Yes, you can have an extra driver at no extra cost, provided that the additional driver is 25 years or over.
Can I pay by Credit Card at time of arrival?

Is collisions damage waiver (CDW) included in the rate quoted by booking engine at North Cyprus Car Hire portal?
Yes collisions damage waiver (CDW) and all necessary insurance is included in the final quoted price.
Is there a reservation charge if the rental is less than seven days?
Yes there is always a 20% reservation charge, however this is completely refundable if you cancel your reservation two weeks before start of your rental period, or within six days of making initial reservation (which ever is earlier).
I would prefer to pay for the car hire in advance - is your online payment area secure?
Yes all transaction data on North Cyprus car hire is completely secured via 128Kb encryption. However you are only able to pay 20% of reservation fee in advance through this system. If you do wish to pay the remainder 80% of rental fee before you arrive, you can contact us and we will guide you through the payment process.
When will I be charged rest of the 80% rental fee?
Your credit card will be debited for the remaining 80% fee once you take physical control of your rental vehicle from our rental agents. The rental agent will have mobile Point of Sale (POS) equipment with them, and your credit card will be charged once you have signed the rental contract.
Does North Cyprus car hire, charge commission on Credit Card?
No! Neither North Cyprus car hire portal nor any of it’s partner car rental companies, charge any commission on Credit Card transactions, all transactions through credit card are free of commissions and exchange rates!
What kind of driving license do I need?
You need any valid national driving license in order to hire a car in North Cyprus.
Can I collect & drop off my car rental at Ercan Airport?
Yes! You can pick up and drop-off your car rental at Ercan Airport, one of our representative will be there to give you the car keys when you arrive, and pick-up the vehicle when you leave, all at NO EXTRA COST!
Do you have a pick-up and drop-off service for Larnaca Airport / Paphos Airport, or should I hire a taxi from there?
Yes, we offer transfer services from Larnaca Airport and Paphos Airport at an extra cost, and you will find it more economical to hire it through one of our rental partners. Please read for further information, Larnaca Airport Transfers or Paphos Airport Transfers.
Can our car rental be delivered to our residence in Kyrenia or Famagusta, or will we be charged extra for this service?
North Cyprus car hire delivers car rentals to its clients all over North Cyprus free of charge!
If I wish to hire a Ford Focus, can I be sure that I will get the exact same vehicle?
North Cyprus car hire will do its best to deliver the exact car that you have ordered, however we can only give an assurance that you will get either Ford Focus or equivalent class vehicle.
Can I take my car rental to South Cyprus, just for a day?
No! The Greek Cypriot Government in South Cyprus, does not allow any Rental vehicles from North Cyprus to cross over to South Cyprus.
